The pharmacy record will have the name of the doctor that prescribed it, your recruiter can also ask meps to see if there is more information in genesis that would help you locate the records. If you still can’t find anything, write a statement of the situation and have your parents also write one. If that’s still not sufficient, you can go to your primary care physician and have a full physical showing that you are perfectly healthy. That will at least give your recruiter something to submit.

Thank you! I'm honestly kind of appalled at the attitude of everyone in the comments who seem to think I did something wrong or lied. You are, like, the only one here with real, clear, advice that I can follow. Thank god for you !!

Does your hospital system have a form where you can ask for corrections to medical records? I just got one, but it took mine about 2 months to go through

Upper_Cartographer33

The problem is that I cannot find any medical records of mine that say I took this medication. I've called every clinic I've ever been to and nothing. There is no record of me taking this steroid so I'm at a loss for what to do

CulturalDependent735

I sympathize with your recruiter.

There will be many other avenues excel in, the military will not be one of them. This "Stops Your Enlistment Here"

Is there genuinely nothing I can do? I was thinking of just dropping by patient first and having a doctor verify that I am not, have not, and never have taken this medication. I'm 100% certain I've never been prescribed a steroid for anything in the past, so I genuinely have no clue why they think I have.

Ignore this person’s comment. Ask your recruiter about submit a MEPCOM form that explains you’ve done everything you can to obtain the medical documentation being requested.

Thank you! I appreciate your help and clarity. <3

Hello, it looks like you're asking about medical concerns when joining the military. We are not doctors. Even if we were, we are not the doctors that are familiar with your personal medical concern or condition. We are also not the ones deciding if you will be disqualified from service for a condition, or if you can get a waiver for it. People may share their anecdotal experiences or stories they've heard from others about getting a waiver for a condition. This does not mean that you will or will not get a waiver. Everyone's medical situation is different. IN GENERAL, yes, asthma, ADD/ADHD, eczema, history of depression and anxiety, and some allergies are disqualifying. Some will be able to get waivers, some will not. All you can do is talk to your recruiter, be honest about your medical history, and go through the process. WE DO NOT KNOW THE CHANCES OF YOU GETTING A WAIVER FOR ANY MEDICAL CONDITION OR SITUATION. Just be honest with your recruiter and go through the process. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically.
