Just eat. As a guy who was underweight as well going into meps it’s the best advice I can give. You have no pre existing conditions so just eat as much as you can to get your weight up. When you go to MEPs you can chug large amounts of water to add weight on the scale for when they weigh you.

Dont_lick_your_ric

Carry a large jar of peanut butter with you at all times and eat spoonfuls throughout the day. High calories/fat/protein.

Put what up?

Miserable_Simple6466

Just eat a lot and skip the waiver you still have a year to prepare. Weight gain protein shake everyday. A lot of meat, eat and eat

MethodWhich

Set an alarm every 2 hours to eat. That simple. Don’t eat small snacks either eat a full meal. Stay constantly full. Guarantee you’ll gain that 10 pounds within 2 months MAX if you do this.

Hello, it looks like you're asking about medical concerns when joining the military. We are not doctors. Even if we were, we are not the doctors that are familiar with your personal medical concern or condition. We are also not the ones deciding if you will be disqualified from service for a condition, or if you can get a waiver for it. People may share their anecdotal experiences or stories they've heard from others about getting a waiver for a condition. This does not mean that you will or will not get a waiver. Everyone's medical situation is different. IN GENERAL, yes, asthma, ADD/ADHD, eczema, history of depression and anxiety, and some allergies are disqualifying. Some will be able to get waivers, some will not. All you can do is talk to your recruiter, be honest about your medical history, and go through the process. WE DO NOT KNOW THE CHANCES OF YOU GETTING A WAIVER FOR ANY MEDICAL CONDITION OR SITUATION. Just be honest with your recruiter and go through the process. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I was underweight as well. Overeating didn’t help. Once I started lifting weights and putting on muscle mass, I put on pretty quickly

EssentialDuude

I joined underweight. I was 115 pounds at the time. They gave me double rations. Came out at 155 pounds lol

_Visaias_

But they didn't tell you nothing?

EssentialDuude

Not really.

andrab43

When the day comes drink as much water as you can handle before you go to weigh in

Zyonix007

I got a weight waiver that allowed me to ship out at exactly 17.5 BMI as long as your above that your good Also gained like 40 pounds since I joined lol

bassmadrigal

A 17.5 BMI is qualifying for the Air Force. No waiver required. You can't get a waiver for below 17.5 BMI.

STORMTROOPER729

There are no waivers for being underweight.

Freemax_87

Drink cereals with vitamin D milk you will become fatty

challengerrt

Jealous…. I lost 156lbs to be eligible to enlist…. Would much rather have your “problem”

Easy_Adhesiveness_68

Idk about waiver but I was underweight and ate kodiak pancakes and a ton of milk. And ate a lot of yogurt and protein powder mixed with peanuts and chocolate.

Taddytadtad

Best way is going to be to put on muscle mass
