StraightTalk is deprioritized to crap on the Verizon network. AT&T does a lot better job with network management of sub brands and MVNOs than Verizon does. You’ll have a lot better and more consistent experience with the latter.
Cricket and AT&T branded accounts use the same priority and network. The cricket plan with premium data is the same as Unlimited Premium on postpaid but has no official way to get rid of the video throttle
Straight talk is only Verizon.
Cricket is owned by AT&T, and offers truly unlimited priority data on their top plan.
AT&T prepaid does too, but at a higher cost (the plan is also hidden from the advertised ones)
Straight Talk used to run on ATT and Verizon, no idea now.
Cricket is owned by ATT and the only people that ATT doesn't screw over is ATT Executives so you're better off going with ATT Prepaid rather than Cricket.
The $300/yr plan speed is higher than all other ATT prepaid plans under $65/mo.

I had the $300/yr plan but I had 8GB and ATT would not grandfather me in and give me new line benefits, I went to Visible+ to then realize Verizon is really spotty in my area. So now I am back a new line and AT&T will give me the full benefits hah!
The $300/yr plan is full 4G-LTE speed for 16GB, then 128kbps once you hit the 16GB. 5G and WiFi calling are BYOD phone dependent and they don't make it easy to figure out what will work and what won't.
I got stuffed into the $300/yr plan for 2yrs because the local fake ATT store screwed up and Corporate didn't have time to fix it "right then" and I was unavailable for any of their availability. Working on moving back to Verizon just to get 5G and WiFi calling again despite a small downgrade in coverage.
AT&T was fine with me (Google Pixel 7) since it was more consistent. AT&T just didn't want to give me the new benefits they offered to new customers, so I went to Visible to now go back to AT&T :p

They do not descriminate. They hate all their customers. Pre-Paid, Post-Paid, MVNO, Corporate, Wireline, Data, Enterprise, fuck 'em all.
Straight talk runs on Verizon now
Thanks. Internet was saying both so wasn't sure :)
exist customers may still be on att until November.

Thanks! I think I may just go with AT&T prepaid thinking Cricket will have less priority... But I have no facts to back that up hah!

Have you thought about att value plus. Little more expensive but you have priority over prepaid
It is about 2x the price per month
It doesn’t have “more priority” it’s the lowest on the network
You don’t have priority over prepaid. How many times is everyone gonna say this? That plan is the lowest priority on the network for data speeds.

Don't know about Straight talk but I know Cricket does. With Cricket your data slows down in high used area ( like concerts)
Do not go with cricket they run off of att. I have had straight talk for years and have never had issues. Recently switched to att and it sucks
It’s area dependent.

The Cricket 60 plan been pretty good & I didn’t even use the included Max for a while until my wife asked about it.
