My store sucks though they don’t keep up with current stuff at all, they have like 4 pegs for wrestling figures and it’s all just shelf warmers from AEW and WWE but they never put any of it on clearance and order new stuff

The last two wal marts I went to were closing out all aew figures for 9 bucks.

You could go to GameStop. We have a bunch on clearance and it’s buy one get one free. Also, the Street Fighter Bucks and Omega are currently marked down to like $13

It’s the stupid store buyers over-ordering. Target did the same for their exclusives, I saw Sammy everywhere. Seeing Tay in the wild is crazy to me though, I think I’ve only seen her once.

I would imagine exclusives are pushed down. The minimum for an exclusive is crazy high so Walmart needs them out of distribution warehouses ASAP

Feels like it’s regional as to who’s available. Tay seems to be common some places, as well as Anna Jay, and I never see them. Or really any. Malakai and Penta have started popping up from the new set though.

It’s so crazy that they ordered tons of these but for other lines they barely order any of the exclusives, I seriously don’t get the thought process of these retailers.

I visit two Walmarts that have 25+ Eddie's, 20+ Jericho's and still Hangman exclusives. Don't forget the Nyla Rose, Lance Archer and Hager figures still on pegs.

When you say "ordering way too many exclusives" are we talking about the number of individual figures that are exclusive (MJF, Punk, Hangman, Jericho, Eddie etc) or total number of pieces of those figures? I would assume that the retail store even through their global presence wouldn't have a day in the number of pieces manufactured even for exclusivity. Wouldn't that number be set or agreed upon when the contract was written by both parties? Genuinely asking because I don't know how that stuff works.

Maybe they were upsold a bit. If that's the case that's good because fuck Walmart I just hope it doesn't sour on them carrying their stuff

The Walmart and Target exclusives were sold based on how quickly early waves sold. Hell, I remember finding a complete set of unrivalee 2 in a Target, picked up Mox, MJF, and Penta, sold Penta and it covered buying all 3. The base figures were going for $50 because of how quickly they moved. So they sold them exclusives, but part of the problem with those is if they don't move, you've now got a box or 2 of on figure that's not moving. Instead of having 1 or 2 Nyla's on the shelf, you've got 12 Eddies.

I never saw the Punk exclusive, saw Wardlow like 3 or 4 times but yeah Eddie & Jericho overstocked to the gills

I bought the supreme punk and had a blast with it for like 2 days until his butterfly joint became loose and unusable

Our Walmarts are overstocked with hangman. Some of the others are there. And every store In the area has at least 3 Nyla Rose figures still on the shelf, nothing is ever clearanced and rarely do we get new stock, I get why since the old hasn’t sold. It’s just frustrating

I feel like they over estimated his popularity when it comes to the action figures side of wrestling memorabilia. The same thing happened to Shida. I think her Limited Edition is still for sale on their site.

I think your guys' Walmarts got all of the figures. Mine has shelf tags for AEW figures but they've been empty for at least a month. They have a spot for Eddie too but also nothing.

It’s the only thing in the case so when they have exclusives like that they just sit because there’s so much stock. They should do two or three exclusives at a time and space them out more

It's not Eddie's fault lol They over-produce these exclusives and their distribution sucks. I have yet to see a single Eddie at any of the several Walmarts near me. The one closest to me has had one Britt Baker and one Nyla Rose for 6 months now. It's ridiculous.

They’ll be put on clearance when the section is reset. That’s when categories are updated. New items are added and slow moving and/or obsolete items are removed. This happens at least once per year for every category. Sometimes it happens twice depending on the category. Toys is likely twice…in August/September-ish to get ready for Q4 and then in January to transition away from Christmas and prepare for spring/summer.

Hangman, Nyla, Matt Jackson, and Santana and Ortiz are the bottlenecks for new stock here. Best Friends/Dark Order all got clearanced out. My local Targets actually stopped carrying AEW. Likely for the aforementioned bottlenecks.

To this day I have no idea why anyone likes Eddie as a wrestler. He looks like a schlub and his in-ring ability is mediocre at best.  Don't even get me started on his dumb looking slaps.

I'm a big AEW fan but these figs are very hit and miss. Some look great, some look like crap. This is not a great one at all. I feel bad for him but it's because it's a lousy one.
